Coach Muck has been teaching/coaching for the past twenty five years. He attended and graduated from the University of Austin in 2001. He has been the head wrestling coach at Anderson HS, Georgetown HS, and he is currently in his 11th year at Vandegrift High School. Over his 25 years as head wrestling coach; he has had 493 Dual Victories, 15 District Team Titles, 6 Regional Team Titles, 100 State Qualifiers, 29 State Placers, 7 State Runner-ups and 5 State Champions. Coach Muck has been named the Regional Coach of the Year 8 times, State Coach of the Year in 2021, served on the UIL Advisory Committee, a former President of the High School Wrestling Coaches Association and was inducted into The Texas Wrestling Hall of Honor in 2023. Coach Muck is married to wife Christine; and has 3 boys; Aiden (19), Easton (15), and Asher (11).

 

 

 

Coach McCauley is a graduate of Vandegrift High School, where he played linebacker for the Vipers. After graduation, he continued his football career at West Virginia University and later spent three years on the WVU football staff as a student assistant coach. He earned his degree in Physical Education from West Virginia University. Coach McCauley began his high school coaching career at Bastrop High School, spending one year coaching the defensive tackles and assisting with the girls’ soccer program. He returned to Vandegrift High School to continue his coaching journey and currently serves as an assistant football coach working with the cornerbacks. This year also marks his first season as a wrestling coach for the Vipers. Coach McCauley is proud to be back at Vandegrift, contributing to the programs that helped shape his own athletic and coaching path.
